This ended about two weeks ago, but, for the total span of approximately 2.5 weeks, everything I did, and everywhere I turned, seemed to bring to my eyes somethingto do with China. These things included my homework, the book I was reading, my girlfriend's homework, what was on the news, etc.
So, because of this, for these 2.5 weeks I felt as if a character in a working novel, or an actor in a film, surrounded by symbolism of future events.
So I got thinking: what symbolism would China provide?
Surely not the symbol of communism, or of war? Their national bird is the crane and their national mammal is the giant panda, but that makes no sense; if I were to Google such a question lost I would become within Chinese caligraphy, and so, the question is given here.
What symbolism would China provide?

Coming: New Posts Soon!
Haven't been on here in months (if not years) so now I am desperately wanting to re-ignite the flame of my blog. Need to change a few things over the next few days, and my blog will then again be up and running.

Is Global Warming Real?
While there have been many skeptics in the past few years about the honesty of global warming, it has become a widely accepted fact that carbon emissions and fossil fuels have altered the natural weather and led us to what we now call ‘Global Warming’. However, every now and then, a politician or a lone scientist will stand up and oppose this theory with new claims that global warming is in fact, a figment of our imagination.
So what about the decline in temperatures during the winter, or the extremely noticeable increase in temperatures during the summer?
Data now shows record low temperatures appearing all over the globe. China has witnessed blizzards and Baghdad has felt the touch of snow.
Does this mean that global warming is not real? No. Many scientists say that this is just good old weather mixed with a cold current from the Pacific, the La Niña effect, which tends to lead to a decline in temperatures, as apposed to the El Niño effect which increases temperatures.
Regardless, this is still unusually cold weather. So, why did this particular current give us such unusual weather patterns across the globe? Could it be because the lowering or melting of the polar ice caps has caused water temperature to drop and sea levels to rise?
Maybe.
Similar cool winters have occurred previously, 1988, ’91, ’92 and ’98, but the trend of the past few years has been an increase in temperature, instead of a decline.
So if the winters are becoming colder, why are the summers becoming hotter? No proof has currently been found that the burning of fossil fuels is causing the planet to warm, although research is still underway.
The planet is definitely warming though, that we can be sure of. Globally, temperatures have risen, on average, 5 degrees celsius. No one can argue with that fact. But historians and geologists claim to know that ice sheets once covered large portions of each continent. These ice sheets have alternately retreated and risen again as the Earth has cooled then warmed in cycles that may span thousands or millions of years.
Historical data from ocean sediments and ice cores indicate that between each major Ice Age a warm period called an Interglacial Period occurs. These Interglacial Periods may span anywhere between 15,000 and 20,000 years. We are currently thriving in an Interglacial period and - although some may say overdue – are due for the 100,000 year long Ice Age that awaits us.
On average global temperatures have risen about 5 degrees celsius since the previous Ice Age. So, from a historical perspective, ‘Global Warming’ has temporarily saved us from an Ice Age. Scientists, and for that fact, most humans, would probably agree that it is the ‘greenhouse effect’ that is causing ‘Global Warming’.
The ‘greenhouse effect’ is the term used to describe atmospheric gases such as gaseous water vapour, carbon dioxide and methane which help to trap radiant heat in the Earth’s atmosphere from escaping into space. Without the ‘greenhouse effect’ the average global temperature would drop dramatically to -18 degrees celsius.
Humans did not cause the ‘greenhouse effect’ though; as we are lead to believe. 95% of the ‘greenhouse effect’ is due solely to natural water vapour. Of the remaining 5%, only 0.2% is due to carbon dioxide and other gases produced by human resources. This is an understood fact by all scientists, but rarely publicised.
So, if we are in fact in a ‘Global Warming’ crisis, even the most costly plans for limiting the production of carbon dioxide emissions would have an undetectable effect on the climate.
If ‘Global Warming’ is in fact a crisis in today’s society, it is a natural one. History and science both show that human intervention will have little effect in climate change, and that no matter how much we are lead to believe; ‘Global Warming’ is as natural as giving birth.
Global temperatures are not rising at rapid rates.
Carbon dioxide has not caused ‘Global Warming’.
‘Global Warming’ will not cause storms and other weather extremes.
The Earth is a variable. The Western Arctic may be getting warmer due to events in the Pacific Ocean, but the Eastern Arctic and Greenland are getting cooler. Temperatures will rise and fall, but there has always got to be someone or something to blame.
At the moment, we are pointing at one piece of the puzzle, without having looked at the display given of the finished product.

Love
Love.
What is love? An emotion? A simple feeling that every human will experience in their lifetime? No. Love isn't simple. It's anything but simple...
...People live off love. People loathe it. Some people don't find it, or grab hold of it. Other people are denied it. is love a luxury that every human being is entitled to? I think it is. I think that every human should be able to feel love, and witness how fragile it is.
Every human is allowed to love. Every human will love, no matter what they do to stop it appearing in front of them. You can't stop love, you can just ignore it, and even that is a feat not many people would want to acheive.
Personally, I believe the meaning of life to be love. That one word, one simple word, four letters, can cause so much grief, so much suffering. How many people have died because someone important broke someone elses heart? How many nations have fallen because someone special fell in love with the 'wrong' person? Too many.
Why is it, that whenever someone feels love, they also feel hope, despair, courageous, confident and shy all at the same time? How is someone able to feel so many different emotins all at the same time?Another mystery of love...
...Love can take any person into a world that they have never experienced before. Love can take them out of that world just as quickly as well.
Love is a four letter word. Love is magical. Love is...everything...
Without love there is no life. Without life...love cannot exist...

Well...
Ok. So I haven't been on much recently. Don't fret though, the drought will cease, with this post of course. Let's start off with goals...
Write a minimum of 1,500 words towards Resurrection.
And possibly...Critique 2 stories on CC
I wrote, roughly, 700 words towards Resurrection, but I critted 3 stories on CC, so half and half I say.
Today was odd. I'm meant to have two weeks of Work Experience, one of the two weeks being this week, but unfortunately I only have one week, which is next week. So, I was told to go to school today, and, whilst at school, the few students of Year 10 who hadn't received Work Experience had to search through the Yellow Pages and find places to do their Work Experience. We were given a deadline of 1 o'clock to have been accepted into somewhere. I phoned Coles Supermarket and was given a place there just before 10.
I made the deadline, but tonight before I work I must go down to Coles, find the manager guy, and have a form filled out, then tomorrow morning I must make my way to school again, hand in the said form, then the remainder of the week is the first week of my Winter Holidays.
So, here I am, sitting on my computer, at 2 pm, instead of being at school, phone in my ear, listening to annoying 'on hold' music. Haha! One of the guys I was with was put on hold for about 20 minutes! Damn that was funny...

NANO
NANO or Nation Novel Writing Month is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30, and, this year I shall enter!
The other day while watching TV I came up with an idea for a novel. The news report was of a body that was found floating down a river. Immediately I jumped up, dashed into the kitchen, only just missing the corner of a head high cupboard, and began joting down whatever came to my head after my original idea.
That was last Wednesday. By Wednesday night I had written one A4 page of notes, currently I have over 4 A4 pages full of notes. And while doing research last night I have already come up with a suitable title for it.
Signature.
I love it because it already fits what shall happen in the story. I've already made many notes and I have also begun outlining chapters although that is a bit difficult.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to come up with a name for my MC yet. 'Tis a crime novel and my MC is a local cop, not an FBI Agent or anything special, just a local cop. He has a partner who I have discovered the perfect name for. The name fits her and everything, and right now I can't imagine her with another name. Her name is so good! Oh right! You're probably wondering what the name is. Maybe I'll tell you later, or it might just slip into another post. Who knows?
Anyway, I can't wait 'till November so I can get started on this awesome project. I am in love with it already!
Yes. Resurrection may become jealous but he should know that he's got until November before he may get covered in dust. Let's hope he does good things until then.

The Other Half
Ok. Week's over and I've barely been on here at all. Exams are annoying, even if I am only in Year 10, I still don't like them!
What were my goals? Oh that's right!
Complete all my exams and feel happy with each of them!
Continue reading my L's book. Perhaps finish it,
Start on my next book, The Artic Event by James Cobb,
and...Write 500 words towards Resurrection.
I am...feeling...kind of happy with my exams, not all of them, but most of them.
I have been reading my L book and I've done a few practise tests online as well.
I got 12 pages into the book then threw it aside...
I wrote 2,175!!!
So...hm...I think that's a pass, but only just.
The only goal I want to give myself for this week is:
Write a minimum of 1,500 words towards Resurrection.
And possibly...Critique 2 stories on CC
But that's it. I'm just happy exams are over and I can't wait for my results. Hope I do well. There is a few things I'd like to talk about on here by the weeks end but I'll do that another time because right now I am freezing cold. It's what? 12 degrees? Celsius! Maybe 10 degrees!
Doesn't matter! To me it feels like 3 degrees! And I'm wearing a jacket, jeans and a t-shirt! But I'm still freezing!
...oh no...Rant coming...about global warming...eep!
